about pureluck_reads
Since April 2007, I begun my second graduate student life (yeah I did not finish my masters in UP Cebu before hehehe), studying fisheries biology at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT). I commute daily in sardine-packed trains (actually much worse, as at least the canned sardines in the Philippines is not that full) for 3 hours, losing my precious friend called TIME, bonding with unknown passengers on ipod, reading newspapers & books, sleeping-while-standing, playing nintendo & PS3, etc. I figure out that I can get something out from the situation, aside from sharing body odor and sweats (just imagine those passengers who just get up, without even bothering to take a bath or brush their teeth ewwwwww), by reading something, like novels.
From herein thereafter, I shall try to summarize what I had been reading, aside from those "interesting" statistical books (yes you read it right, statistical books, for a simple fisheries guy like me huhuhu) ahem, well, as a way of maximizing my learning from those books.
"Read book/document with the purpose of sharing what you learn to someone else within 48 hours after you learn it" - S. Covey, 1989.
and so here I am…
